About Us | Yorkshire Wolds Bees

Yorkshire Wolds Bees began in 2000 with two colonies and this led to our addiction to bee keeping. Over the next few years it expanded to over 100 production colonies .

We decided to produce our own queens as we did not want to use imported queens we had also discovered that locally produced queens were more adapted to the local environment .

This led to our own gentle and productive strain of honey bee.

As we became known for producing our queens we had lots of request for the queens as well as enquiries for nucs which led to us producing nucs as well as queens for sale.
